European Mobility Week at FEUP: Join Our Sustainable Initiatives!

Dear FEUP Community,

Today, September 16, marks the start of the European Mobility Week under the theme “Shared Public Spaces”, running until September 22. According to a study on FEUP’s environmental impact, more than 40% of our community uses cars for their daily commute, representing the main source of CO₂ emissions.

In order to reduce FEUP’s carbon footprint and to celebrate this European Mobility Week, especially World Car-Free Day, which will be held at FEUP on September 23, we invite the entire community to participate in the following initiatives:

• Bicla for FEUP Contest (From 16/9 – 15/11):
  Participate and get a chance to win a 150€ DECATHLON voucher!
• World Car-Free Day – Commit to sustainable mobility!
  Fill in this form by September 22 and pledge to use sustainable transportation on September 23. By participating, you will enter a raffle for three 50€ Fnac vouchers, to be drawn among the platform subscribers.
• Bicycle Repair Café, organized by CDUP (23/9; 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM):
  Bring your bike and join us for a fun, practical event! We offer a free bike check-up, but pre-registration is required to secure your spot (pre-register here).
