According to the study carried out by the Commissariat for Sustainability of the Faculty of Engineering of the U.Porto (CS-FEUP), around 40% of its community travels to the institution daily, using the car. Knowing that the transport sector is responsible for the emission of 26% of greenhouse gases, promoting sustainable mobility is one of the objectives of CS-FEUP, with the following initiatives being highlighted:

  • Whenever possible, travel on foot, or by bike. Leave the car at home and don’t forget that it is possible to access a bicycle through the U-Bike Project

  • Do teleworking, flexible working or hybrid working to reduce your travel. FEUP has a remote work program that talks to employees HR.
  • Organizes hybrid events such as meetings, workshops or conferences, where participants can choose to be in person or virtually.
