The 2nd Sustainability Run took place on 26 September, bringing together the academic community and partners for a morning dedicated to sustainability, physical activity and solidarity.

Under the motto “MOVEMENT THAT LEAVES A MARK – NOT A FOOTPRINT!”, the initiative brought together participants in both the 6 km run and the 3 km walk, providing an opportunity for community engagement while promoting more active and sustainable lifestyles.

The initiative was organised by the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), in partnership with the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto (FEP), the Faculty of Dental Medicine of the University of Porto (FMDUP) and CDUP, with the support of several organisations from the Asprela community.

In addition to promoting physical activity and sustainable mobility, the Sustainability Run maintained a strong solidarity component: all registration fees were donated to CASA – Centro de Apoio ao Sem-Abrigo, contributing to the work carried out by this organisation in support of people experiencing homelessness.

The success of the second edition reinforces FEUP’s commitment to building a healthier, more engaged community and raising awareness of the challenges of sustainability.

Thank you to all participants, volunteers, partners and organisations who contributed to the success of this initiative!

We now share some photographic highlights from this morning of movement, sustainability and solidarity.

See you at the next edition!
