“What is in Our Hands?” Campaign Mobilizes Citizens for a More Sustainable City

Two years after the launch of the Porto Climate Pact, the campaign “What is in Our Hands?” has been initiated to mobilize civil society towards a more sustainable and carbon-neutral city.

This campaign challenges every citizen of Porto to be an agent of change by adopting small daily actions that positively impact areas such as mobility, energy, water management, circularity, local purchases, and food waste reduction.

The campaign, which is the result of a collaboration with the academic community and designed by a Fine Arts student, is featured across various spaces and media in the city, including STCP buses, Porto Metro, Mercado do Bolhão, and the University of Porto. With a creative and relaxed approach, and inspired by musical references, the initiative aims to encourage citizens to embrace more sustainable behaviors.
