On 6th March 2025 at 17h00, the third episode of the series “Higher Education and the Community – Cooperation for Sustainability” will take place with the project “Smart Region Platform in the CIM do OESTE by NovaIMS”.
NovaIMS (Information Management School of Universidade Nova de Lisboa) will be represented by Prof. Miguel de Castro Neto, Director of NovaIMS, and CIM (Comunidade Intermunicipal) do Oeste by Dr Paulo Simões, First Executive Secretary of CIM.
The cooperation between the two entities will be analysed on the basis of a multipurpose digital platform developed by the University. By collecting data and making structured information available to a wide range of actors in the Oeste region, the platform embodies two very important characteristics: cooperation between higher education and the community, and the virtuous combination of digitalisation and sustainable development.
