Education for Sustainable Development at FEUP

The EDS@FEUP project is all about building sustainability skills across the board at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (FEUP). The idea is to create a strong culture of sustainability within the institution.

The project outlines a few main areas of focus, including faculty training, integrating Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) into selected courses, cross-cutting initiatives, and internal and external communication. We’ll be training a pilot group of educators, who’ll then share their expertise with colleagues, technicians and researchers. This will help us incorporate ESD into the curriculum.

We’ll also be developing dedicated content and resources on ESD, with activities in collaboration with FEUP student groups and efforts to enhance innovation for sustainability within the institution.
