Being a FEUP alumnus is making part of a great educational organization with great professors that ultimately is the reason why so many great engineers studied at FEUP.
Studying at FEUP is a plus since the university provides the infrastructure and materials needed to develop your skills and finish your projects.
From my experience, even before I finished the master's degree, I received several offers to keep on developing my skills in both an industry or academic environment, which led me to be here today. I'm glad about being a FEUP alumnus because after some years working in cooperation with engineers from top-class universities around the world, I am sure that FEUP offers the skills to feel technically paired with the best.
In sum, if you are willing to study engineering at FEUP, my advice is to focus on two main aspects. The first is to develop yourself as a person since you will be studying in a multicultural institution where every student has an enormous potential. The second is to focus on learning the technical set of skills that will help you in your engineering career, no matter where in the world.
