Potential of Rheologically-Optimized Magnetic Emulsions in Hemotherapy

PROMisH

This project aims to develop a magnetic-driven drug delivery system compatible with the viscoelastic properties of human blood. The optimisation aims to enhance a magnetic Pickering emulsion's formulation for compatibility with human blood, precise transportation, disarming capability, and minimising patient impact. All this is guided by comprehensive rheological characterisation and state-of-the-art hydrodynamics assessment techniques.

Magnetic Pickering emulsions for drug delivery represent a multidisciplinary research area that combines expertise from medicine, pharmaceutical sciences, materials science, nanotechnology, biomedical engineering, chemistry, and biotechnology to develop innovative solutions for enhancing drug delivery efficiency and improving treatment therapies across various disciplines.
