As part of the Symposium of Engineering Physics, which is set to happen between the 15th and 16th of June 2023, at FEUP, an engaging round table discussion on the role of physics engineering in various industries is set to take place. The event, scheduled for the 15th of June at 17:45, will feature startups and companies such as Smartex.ai, iNanoEnergy, iLof, Leica, Amkor Technologies.
The round table, one of the highlights of the Physics Engineering Symposium, aims to explore the role of a physics engineer in the industry. Participants will engage in insightful conversations ranging from artificial intelligence and energy to biotechnology and imaging.
Prior to the round table discussion, Smartex.ai, iNanoEnergy, and Leica will showcase their work through poster stands during the poster session, providing an opportunity for the students (LEF, MEF and ProDEF) to interact one on one with the companies. Following the poster session, technical presentations by Amkor Technologies and Leica will take place from 17:15 to 17:45, offering valuable insights into their work fields.
For the round table, the panelists from the participating companies will share their experiences, challenges, shedding light on the significance of physics engineering in shaping innovative solutions and driving progress in their respective industries, while interacting with the questions from the audience. Attendees can expect a dynamic exchange of ideas and knowledge, providing a glimpse into the future of physics engineering and its potential for real-world applications.
The Physics Engineering Symposium, organized with ProDEF, within the larger framework of the Doctoral Congress of Engineering, serves as a platform for students, researchers, and industry professionals to connect, collaborate, and gain valuable insights into the latest trends and developments in the field.
