As the
date of the IRF2025 conference is approaching rapidly, these are our
last general remarks and recommendations to all Participants: 1.
ARRIVAL IN PORTO (Airport):
We are looking forward to your arrival in Porto and to your
participation in the IRF2025 International Conference. Once at the
airport of Porto, we suggest that you take a Taxi to your hotel in the
city. The trip from the airport to hotels in Porto will take less than
20 minutes, and will cost you around 25.00 €. There are also cheaper
Metro or Bus connections from the airport to the city centre, for less
than 3.50€ (single ticket). 2.
CONFERENCE LOCATION:
Please note that the conference will be held at:
FEUP-Faculty of Engineering University of Porto Rua Dr. Roberto Frias 4200-465 Porto. To reach
this location from the city center, you can take a Taxi, the cost of
which will be around 10,00€. Alternatively, you can take the Bus or the
Metro (direction Hospital S. João) for just bout 2,00€. 3.
INTERNET ACCESS: We are
pleased to inform you that in the campus of FEUP there will be internet
access facilities by wireless, for all participants in the IRF2025
Conference. Details of username and password for wireless internet
access will be given at Registration Desk. 4.
SOCIAL PROGRAM:
Included in the IRF2025 social program, there will be the Welcome
Reception on Tuesday 15th July (from 7:00pm to 9:00pm) in the central
garden at the conference venue, and the Conference Banquet on Wednesday
16th July (from 7:30pm to 11:00pm) at the magnificent facilities of
QUINTA DE PRATA, Rua Gonçalo Mendes da Maia 597 Pedrouços 4425-656 Maia,
which is conveniently located at walking distance from the conference
venue. Optional
Tours for Delegates and Accompanying Persons will also be available, as
described in
https://fe.up.pt/irf/IRF2025/tours.pdf. Reservations can be made
either: (i)-directly from your page in the registration platform;
(ii)-on site at the Registration Desk, or (iii)-by sending an email to
Mrs. Maria João Coelho from the conference secretariat:

EARLY-BIRD REGISTRATION:
We will begin registration of delegates and distribution of
documentation on Tuesday July 15 in the afternoon from 6:00pm to 9:00pm,
during which period the Welcome Reception will take place with drinks
and snacks. 6.
FINAL PROGRAM & PROCEEDINGS:
In order that Speakers, Session Chairs and Participants in general can
plan in advance the attendance of their Sessions of most interest, the
Technical Program and the Conference Proceedings are already available

allocated for each paper, including time for discussion, is as follows:
Contributed Papers:
15-20 minutes
Keynote Papers:
60 minutes
Presenters should respect other speakers’ rights and adhere strictly to
their allocated time. B. Each room is equipped, ready for use, with Computer and Projector for
either Power Point or PDF presentations. Should you prefer, you can use
your own computer. C. If you wish, in preparing your presentation, you can use the suggested
slides-template available from:
https://fe.up.pt/irf/IRF2025/Slides-Template.pptx. D. Speakers are requested to be present in the room at least 15 minutes
before the beginning of the session, to report to the Session-Chair and
to upload the files with their presentations. Please name the file with
the same Reference as in the Program, preceded by the number of the
Session, as in the following example: 3C-22845.pptx. 8.
POSTER SESSIONS: If you
have a paper scheduled for Poster Presentation, please get the template
from:

and affix your poster in the respective Poster Session, as scheduled in
the Program. 9.
IDENTIFICATION BADGES:
Speakers and participants in general are requested to use their
identification badges at all times during the days of the conference, as
that is essential to have access to the technical sessions, lunches,
coffee-breaks and social events. 10.
THE WEATHER IN PORTO:
Finally, we would like to inform all participants in the IRF2025
conference that we have ordered warm and sunny weather for everybody,
with temperatures ranging from 30ºC to 35ºC. So please be prepared and
hopefully enjoy your stay in Porto! Warmest regards,
