Sustainable and Advanced Biosynthesis of Shikimic Acid and Tailored Derivatives as Antibiotic Adjuvants for Biofilm Control
Sustainable exploitation of heterologous systems for target phytochemicals and generating antibiotic adjuvant derivatives against biofilm resistance. Key objectives include optimizing high-yield shikimic acid production, extracting and purifying it from fermentative media, evaluating its properties for biofilm control, and synthesizing bioactive derivatives.
