Depression is a mood disorder that functions as a response to situations experienced as deeply negative or problematic, affecting well-being and causing prolonged feelings of helplessness, sadness, apathy or loneliness.

It’s part of our lives to sometimes feel sad or down, but when these feelings linger over time and we can’t find a way to overcome them, it’s important to seek help!

Self-harming behaviors or thoughts of suicide may occur associated with depression. If you are experiencing any of these behaviors or thoughts, you should immediately seek medical, psychiatric or psychological help. Check out some of the support available here or book an appointment with us.
