My name is Angela Mazau, I‘m from Angola and I came to Portugal to graduate. I was always a determined person, and from an early age I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up.

Studying Civil Engineering was my dream and FEUP was the means I chose to live it. In the midst of so many choices, I aimed at FEUP for being a well-regarded and recognized college, but especially because I believed it would be accompanied by competent hands and able to shape myself and become a successful engineer.

For the past 4 years FEUP has been my second home. The academic environment is super welcoming and inclusive for any student. The Faculty is well equipped and prepared for the diverse needs of students from leisure areas, research, study, information and support, and many other essential services.

The quality of teaching is a strong point to highlight and one of the greatest advantages over other colleges. We have excellent teachers, many of them are national or global references, and teaching methods provide good learning.

FEUP is a truly complete college. It provides a wide range of extracurricular activities such as sports centers, student associations, mentoring or guidance and integration programs, training modules and others that contribute to the development of our capabilities and complement our training. It is also important to mention that FEUP has several events, such as academic days, workshops and “job fairs” that create an environment conducive to interact with various companies, get to know their methods, offers and open doors to our future.

In a way, studying at FEUP is a privilege and an honor, because here we are instructed by the best and with the utmost rigor.

FEUP is one of the many places that make Porto a special and worth visiting city.
