About us
The Structural Integrity Research Laboratory (SIReL) is a research group at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) that is dedicated to the study of the integrity of materials and structures. SIReL’s main focus is to contribute to the understanding of fracture and fatigue mechanisms, the development of new materials, and the design of safer and more reliable structures, including a wide range of engineering structures. SIReL is composed of a multidisciplinary team of researchers from different engineering fields.
