“An Enquiry Into The Design of Innovative Business Models” wins\u00a0best thesis competition<\/h2>\n

Jo\u00e3o Pereira Campos successfully defended his MIETE thesis in 2020. The best thesis competition was staged at the international scientific conference ICIEMC 2021 (International Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Marketing and Consumer Behaviour) – held at the University of Aveiro (ISCA), on 1-2 July 2021. FRAMIE overall winner of Venture Cup Portugal’s first edition (April 2017)<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Framie, a project started in the course of Project for Opportunity Identification and Evaluation and developed on Business Construction Project at MIET (University of Porto), was the overall winner of Venture Cup Portugal’s first edition. The national university startup competition final took place on June 30th, at Casa da M\u00fasica, where 10 finalists had the chance to pitch their business.<\/p>\n

Judges stated to be impressed with Framie’s market potential, scalability and business model, which granted the victory to the team. The founders are now looking forward to the University Startup World Cup taking place in September 18-22, in Copenhagen, where they will be one of the teams representing Portugal.<\/p>\n

Framie’s mobile app will enable anyone to complete thematic collections with their own pictures, redesigning the way that we collect and live experiences. The app’s launch is coming this September, and you can sign up for BETA (here<\/a>) and start collecting the world in a revolutionary way.<\/p>\n

FRAMIE awarded 5.000\u20ac prize at Startup Porto Accelerator #1 (April 2017)<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The project started in the course of Project for Opportunity Identification and Evaluation and had its continuity on Business Construction Project at MIET. The team behind Framie, Ant\u00f3nio Lisboa, Cristiano Silva, Filipe Lima, M\u00f3nica Leiras and Tiago Monteiro kept working on it after finishing MIETE and were now awarded a 5.000\u20ac prize at Startup Porto Accelerator #1. The app’s beta phase is set to launch on August 2017. (read more in our blog<\/a>)<\/p>\n

MIETE Team Ranks 2nd in iUP25k (Edition 2016)<\/strong><\/h2>\n

MIETE Team Ranks 2nd in iUP25k, U.Porto Competition for Business Ideas (more information here<\/a> and\u00a0here \u2013 PT Only<\/a>). Congratulations to our students\u00a0Florian Rehm (Germany), Pedro Silva (Portugal) e Richard Ancuta (Denmark).<\/p>\n

COTEC MUDA Dissertation Competition\u00a02015 (April 2016)<\/strong><\/h2>\n

COTEC MUDA Prize for the Best Dissertation in the area of Innovation and Entrepreneurship received\u00a075 applications from\u00a057 different programs\u00a0and from 26 universities in Portugal. Out of these, 3 dissertation from MIETE students were ranked among the\u00a0TOP10. The dissertation by Poliana Pires, although not the winner, was ranked among the TOP 3.<\/span><\/p>\n
