The Conference<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the successful first international conference on nature-based solutions for coastal protection held in Bruges-Belgium, we are happy to announce that the second Building Coastal Resilience will take place at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto on 28 and 29 October 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this conference, we hope to combine the scientific information on large-scale demonstrations of hybrid nature-based solutions with the contributions from academia in the broader topic of coastal morphodynamics at sandy beaches and dunes. Exchange of information on running projects between researchers is key to the conference, with emphasis on young PhD researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The involvement of young researchers is of overriding importance to us, and so opportunities will be created for them to meet, to run dedicated sessions and to interact with experienced peer researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
