First European Conference on Openseees

The conference aims to gather new users and assemble the OpenSees community in Europe to discuss some of the new features. The Programme included some of the more active OpenSees developers, thus contributing for productive and interesting discussions. The invited speakers included Anastasios Sextos, André Barbosa, Asif Usmani, Dimitrios Lignos, Dimitrios Vamvatsikos, Frank McKenna, Khalid Mosalam, Lu Xinzheng, Pedro Arduino and Theodore Karavasilis.

The invited speakers’ presentations address topics where OpenSees plays a key role in simulating structural behaviour and geotechnical problems involving different types of structures and hazards such as fire, earthquakes and tsunamis.

The conference programme also included presentations addressing the integration and combination of OpenSees with commercial software, presentations focusing on new software developments and several case study applications.
