PARIA MOKHBERDORAN

My name is Paria, I come from Iran and I am a Civil Engineeging degree student. Obviously, education plays a constructive role in each person´s life, and its impact in all aspects of my life is undeniable. I would like to share my experiences and views during my education in Porto.

Among all the other countries that I had visited before, I chose Portugal and especially beautiful Porto due to its fabulous architectural view of the city, its wonderful scenery and hospitable and very kind people. I was extremely enthusiastic in continuing my education with advanced and modern methodologies in a University with a high-ranking level, for which I chose the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) in 2019.

I would like to claim that the program contains a high level of knowledge in all the courses, not only focusing on the theoretical part but also concentrating on the practical and experimental aspects of the various topics. The program itself, with the help of perfect and pioneer professors, provides a very high level of knowledge for the students and motivates them to grow their abilities in research areas for the future as well. I would like to state that all the professors are very much compassionate in teaching and assigning their time to answer and solve the students´ doubts.

Nevertheless, I encountered some challenges during my education. The most important one was the language, since most courses were taught in Portuguese; nevertheless, it made me improve my Portuguese language.

Furthermore, as an alternative advantage of this program was assisting me to develop my social networking in Portugal by meeting other students from Portugal and other countries. In addition, the very positive aspect of this program was to make me grow and be more fascinated and ready for my planned future, which is continuing my education by entering to a PHD program.

In the end, I would like to highly recommend to the students all around the world, who would like to have an advantageous and useful period during their education, to give themselves the opportunity of gaining more experience by entering to the educational programs in other countries.
