With the main focus on increasing the predictive capability of simulation, FEUP’s composite structures group will significantly contribute to the certification of aerospace structures by simulation. An approach that has the potential to revolutionize the way the Aerospace Industry design, develop and certify their products. An approach that will significantly accelerate the development of new technologies and development and certification of Aerospace Structures. As this is a paradigm shift in the development and certification of Aerospace Structures, FEUP and its composite structures group are best positioned in educating the future Aerospace Engineers to achieve these challenging objectives.
