{"id":5199,"date":"2025-03-11T21:41:31","date_gmt":"2025-03-11T21:41:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fe.up.pt\/escolas\/?p=5199"},"modified":"2025-03-12T14:20:28","modified_gmt":"2025-03-12T14:20:28","slug":"purificacao-gases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fe.up.pt\/escolas\/purificacao-gases\/","title":{"rendered":"Membranas para purifica\u00e7\u00e3o de gases relevantes para a descarboniza\u00e7\u00e3o da energia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Na sequ\u00eancia do Acordo de Paris das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas alcan\u00e7ado em 2015, os Estados-Membros da UE comprometeram-se a promover a descarboniza\u00e7\u00e3o da economia e a transi\u00e7\u00e3o energ\u00e9tica, visando a neutralidade carb\u00f3nica em 2050.<\/p>\n<p>Algumas estrat\u00e9gias a seguir para atingir as metas do Acordo de Paris incluem, por exemplo: i) a promo\u00e7\u00e3o a n\u00edvel industrial dos processos de oxi-combust\u00e3o usando ar enriquecido em oxig\u00e9nio (concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de oxig\u00e9nio &gt; 95%); ii) a captura e purifica\u00e7\u00e3o, a baixo custo, do di\u00f3xido de carbono das correntes de exaust\u00e3o de chamin\u00e9s industriais; iii) a promo\u00e7\u00e3o do uso de hidrog\u00e9nio como vetor energ\u00e9tico.<\/p>\n<p>Estas estrat\u00e9gias exigem o desenvolvimento de tecnologias eficientes e economicamente sustent\u00e1veis, respetivamente, para: i) a separa\u00e7\u00e3o do oxig\u00e9nio do azoto; ii) a separa\u00e7\u00e3o do di\u00f3xido de carbono do azoto e do oxig\u00e9nio; iii) a separa\u00e7\u00e3o do hidrog\u00e9nio do g\u00e1s natural.<br \/>\nOs m\u00e9todos tradicionais de separa\u00e7\u00e3o e purifica\u00e7\u00e3o de gases, como a destila\u00e7\u00e3o criog\u00e9nica e a adsor\u00e7\u00e3o por modula\u00e7\u00e3o de press\u00e3o, s\u00e3o energeticamente muito intensivos. \u00c9 neste contexto que surge a tecnologia de membranas para realizar a separa\u00e7\u00e3o e purifica\u00e7\u00e3o de gases de uma forma muito mais eficiente e economicamente muito mais sustent\u00e1vel.<\/p>\n<p>Nesta EngiTalk ser\u00e1 apresentada a tecnologia de membranas para a separa\u00e7\u00e3o e purifica\u00e7\u00e3o de gases relevantes para a descarboniza\u00e7\u00e3o da energia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Orador(a): <\/strong>Carlos Gabriel Pires Morgado Bernardo<\/p>\n<p><strong>Breve nota biogr\u00e1fica:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Licenciado e Mestre em Qu\u00edmica pela Faculdade de Ci\u00eancias da Universidade do Porto e doutorado em Ci\u00eancia dos Materiais pela Universidade de Oxford no Reino Unido. Ocupa desde 2020 o lugar de Investigador Auxiliar no LEPABE (Laborat\u00f3rio de Engenharia de Processos, Ambiente, Biotecnologia e Energia) no Departamento de Engenharia Qu\u00edmica (DEQ) da Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto.
