Faz parte de tudo o que pode ser apelidado de &#8220;tecnologia&#8221;, desde a medicina e a ind\u00fastria autom\u00f3vel at\u00e9 aos telem\u00f3veis, computadores, rel\u00f3gios e televis\u00f5es. Na FEUP, desenvolvem-se compet\u00eancias em Microeletr\u00f3nica, projetando aquilo a que vulgarmente se chamam &#8216;chips&#8217; de sil\u00edcio. Ou seja, s\u00e3o criados circuitos eletr\u00f3nicos, simulados, testados, desenhados e enviamos para fabrico&#8230; para mais tarde serem testados de novo. Esta EngiTalk aborda a conce\u00e7\u00e3o de um chip do ponto de vista do Engenheiro Eletrot\u00e9cnico do dom\u00ednio da Microeletr\u00f3nica, desmistificando como a tecnologia dos dias de hoje \u00e9 desenvolvida e explorando o que o futuro nos reserva nesta \u00e1rea.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Orador(a): <\/strong>C\u00e2ndido Duarte<\/p>\n<p><strong>Breve nota biogr\u00e1fica:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Doutorado em Engenharia Eletrot\u00e9cnica e de Computadores pela Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP) e docente no Departamento de Engenharia Eletrot\u00e9cnica e de Computadores da mesma institui\u00e7\u00e3o. Os seus interesses incluem microeletr\u00f3nica anal\u00f3gica e de sinal misto, com foco em transceptores de r\u00e1dio frequ\u00eancia para comunica\u00e7\u00f5es sem fios, arquiteturas lineares de transmissores, projeto CMOS de ultra-baixa pot\u00eancia, circuitos anal\u00f3gicos assistidos por digitais, eletr\u00f3nica com recolha de energia do meio ambiente e transmiss\u00e3o de energia sem fios debaixo de \u00e1gua.
