This Symposium is organized by PhD students of the Doctoral Program in Chemical and Biological Engineering (PDEQB) at FEUP, with the support of the Associate Laboratory ALICE (integrating the\u00a0R&amp;D Units\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lsre-lcm.fe.up.pt\/\">LSRE-LCM<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/paginas.fe.up.pt\/~lepabe\/\">LEPABE<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/paginas.fe.up.pt\/~ceft\/\">CEFT<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6646 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/paginas.fe.up.pt\/~dce\/2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Picture1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"567\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fe.up.pt\/dce\/2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Picture1-200x79.png 200w, https:\/\/fe.up.pt\/dce\/2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Picture1-400x158.png 400w, https:\/\/fe.up.pt\/dce\/2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Picture1.png 567w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 567px) 100vw, 567px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Topics for submission<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>PhD students, MSc students, and other researchers are welcome to present their research in this Symposium based on the following topics of interest:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Biological Engineering and Biotechnology<\/li>\n<li>Reaction and Separation Processes<\/li>\n<li>Energy and Environment<\/li>\n<li>Product Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Catalysis and Carbon Materials<\/li>\n<li>Analytical Chemistry<\/li>\n<li>Transport Phenomena<\/li>\n<li>Biorefinery and Sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Innovative Materials and Applications<\/li>\n<li>Modelling, Synthesis and Integration of Chemical Processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Registration and Abstract Submission<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>||\u00a0<em>DEADLINE: <del>31<sup>st\u00a0<\/sup>March\u00a0<\/del> 28th April<\/em>\u00a0||<\/p>\n<p>Registration is mandatory for all participants, please click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/paginas.fe.up.pt\/~dce\/2023\/registration\/\">here to register<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At least one author\u00a0of each accepted and revised abstract must be registered in the event, with a paid fee, for the abstracts\u2019 reference to appear in the Booklet, in the Book of Abstracts and in the Proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>FEUP students who belong to the Doctoral Program in Chemical and Biological Engineering (PDEQB), researchers, and professors must contact Prof. Alexandra Pinto \u2013 PDEQB (<a href=\"mailto:apinto@fe.up.pt\">apinto@fe.up.pt<\/a>) before proceeding with the registration.<\/p>\n<p>All others (students\/candidates, researchers, and professors) \u2013 from outside FEUP \u2013 that wish to register in the Symposium on Chemical and Biological Engineering may have their registrations sponsored, upon request (please contact Prof. Alexandra Pinto (<a href=\"mailto:apinto@fe.up.pt\">apinto@fe.up.pt<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Submit the abstracts via the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cmt3.research.microsoft.com\/DCE2023\"><u>Microsoft CMT platform<\/u><\/a><\/strong>, before registration.<\/p>\n<p>Please follow the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/paginas.fe.up.pt\/~dce\/2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/DCE23_TEMPLATE.docx\">abstract template<\/a>, adding the\u00a0<strong>authors\u2019 names<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>affiliation, and including the acknowledgements of the work<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Abstracts up to 1 page will be automatically considered for poster. Jos\u00e9 has more than 10 years of professional experience, divided among industry and R&amp;D research centers (BOSCH, EFACEC, FEUP, UPTEC innovation centre) with roles in innovation, product and process development and project management.
