{"id":2915,"date":"2016-12-28T22:04:44","date_gmt":"2016-12-28T22:04:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paginas.fe.up.pt\/~dce\/2023\/?page_id=2915"},"modified":"2023-06-06T19:41:12","modified_gmt":"2023-06-06T19:41:12","slug":"symposium-on-materials-science-and-engineering","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fe.up.pt\/dce\/2023\/symposia\/symposium-on-materials-science-and-engineering\/","title":{"rendered":"Symposium on Materials Science and Engineering"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><strong>Symposium on Materials Science and Engineering\u2019 23<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>The symposium on \u201c<em>Materials Science and Engineering<\/em>\u201d will be held in the 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Doctoral Congress Engineering (DCE23), hosted at FEUP, Porto, Portugal, on June 15<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0and 16<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of 2023.<\/p>\n<p>This symposium presents itself as an asset for young researchers and students as it brings together topics related to the latest scientific and technological breakthroughs related to materials science and engineering.<\/p>\n<p>Master and PhD students, as well as post-doctorate position holders and researchers, may apply for oral presentations and poster presentations. The details of the event timetable will be announced later on.<\/p>\n<p>The Symposium Committee is pleased to invite attendees to share their ongoing work or results.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>topics for submission<\/strong>\u00a0will include all materials areas, namely:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Functional materials<\/li>\n<li>Structural materials and Materials processing<\/li>\n<li>Characterization and Modelling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Submissions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>||\u00a0Deadline for abstracts submission: <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">March 31<\/span> April 28, 2023||<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Submissions of the abstracts must be done via the\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cmt3.research.microsoft.com\/DCE2023\"><strong>Microsoft CMT platform<\/strong><\/a> and before registration. For more information, please check the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/paginas.fe.up.pt\/~dce\/2023\/submission\/\">\u2018Submission\u2019<\/a>\u00a0page.<\/p>\n<p>Please follow the <a href=\"https:\/\/paginas.fe.up.pt\/~dce\/2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/DCE23_-Abstract-TEMPLATE.docx\">template<\/a> (maximum 1 page).<\/p>\n<p>Will accept submissions for: Oral communication or Poster presentation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Registration (Payment)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Registration is mandatory for all participants.<\/p>\n<p>At least one author of each accepted and revised abstract must be registered in the event, with a paid fee, for the abstracts\u2019 reference to appear in the Booklet.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at FEUP supports the registration cost of the main author who is a doctoral student (at FEUP or other universities) and who will present his\/her work in oral or poster sessions.
