{"id":4597,"date":"2019-04-11T11:19:33","date_gmt":"2019-04-11T11:19:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paginas.fe.up.pt\/~dce\/2021\/?page_id=4597"},"modified":"2021-06-02T19:44:27","modified_gmt":"2021-06-02T19:44:27","slug":"instructions-for-authors","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fe.up.pt\/dce\/2021\/instructions-for-authors\/","title":{"rendered":"Instructions for authors"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><strong>DEADLINES<\/strong><br \/>\nplease check the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/paginas.fe.up.pt\/~dce\/2021\/submission\/important-dates\/\">\u2018Important dates<\/a>\u2018 page<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"GUIDELINES\"><b>GUIDELINES and PROCEDURES<\/b><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>If you intend to submit an abstract (or more) for the Congress, please do so before registering.<\/li>\n<li>If you just want to participate as an attendee (not as author), just register ASAP.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-GB\">At least\u00a0<u>one author of each accepted abstract<\/u><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>(oral communication or poster) \u2013 the presenter \u2013must<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">register in the Congress (fill out the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfqFUdnRM-71yFBJePPeEkV6RZ74tC59hNmCUf5giToqRPMBQ\/viewform?usp=sf_link\"><strong>Re<\/strong><strong>gistration Form I<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">)<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Submitted abstracts with no authors registered in the Congress, will <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not<\/span> be included in the Congress Booklet, nor in the Symposia Book of Abstracts nor will be eligible for Proceedings<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>For each registration, two accepted\u00a0 abstracts\/papers can be presented and included in the Book of Abstracts.<\/p>\n<p>you should check your Symposium webpage to know if you are eligible to have your registration payed. If you are eligible, you just have to wait. It does NOT include entrance in the workshops.<\/p>\n<div><em><strong>Cancellation\/Refund Policy:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>In case of cancellation of registration or of the extras, a written notification should be sent to the conference e-mail (<a href=\"mailto:dce@fe.up.pt\">dce@fe.up.pt<\/a>) with the subject \u2018Cancellation\u2019.<\/div>\n<div>NOTE: After sending proof of payment, if you wish to cancel the registration, only the amount paid will be refunded, removing the overheads charged by FEUP Accounting and the administrative fee of 10% on the return amount.<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><em><strong>Insurance:\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>The registration fees do not include insurance of participants against accidents, sickness, cancellation, theft, property damage or loss.
