The new William Bonfield Prize for Best Review Paper, an initiative of the Journal of Materials Science – Springer, distinguished the paper "Nanomaterials with high solar reflectance as an emerging path towards energy-efficient envelope systems: a review" with one of the two attributed Honorable Mentions.
This work stood out from over 100 review articles published in the Journal of Materials Science in 2021. The focus was on identifying the benefits of using high reflectance nanopigments as coatings in building façades and their production and synthesis processes.
Rita Veloso and Andrea Souza, PhD candidates, Joana Maia, post-doc researcher, Nuno Ramos, Professor, team members of CONSTRUCT-LFC at FEUP (Faculty of Engineering of Univerity of Porto), and João Ventura, senior researcher of IFIMUP at FCUP (Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto) are the authors of the awarded article.
