—<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> From 25 – 27 October 2021, the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) and the Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto (UPTEC) held an international event BIN@PORTO 2021: Human-<\/em><\/strong>centered<\/em><\/strong> Innovation<\/em><\/strong>. BIN@PORTO 2021 was the 12th<\/sup> annual international BIN@ event (14th<\/sup>\u00a0if also to consider the mid-term ones). The event had close to 500 registrations and around 350 confirmed participants (about 70 delegates from abroad). In store were 3+ interactive days on innovation that included the following type of activities: Open Sessions (25 Oct), Action Tanks (26 Oct), UPTEC Sessions (27 Oct).\u00a0In addition to these main parts, also the following parallel activities were incorporated to the programme: EIT Manufacturing activities (26 \u2013 27 Oct), Exhibition \u2018Design for the Next 100 Years\u2019 (25 \u2013 26 Oct) and Networking Activities (24 \u2013 27 Oct).<\/p>\n In order to have an idea of how the event unravelled and what exactly happened, have a look at the event official website (fe.up.pt\/binporto2021<\/span><\/a>) and booklet<\/a><\/span>. Down below we have made available a brief summary of some of the key highlights of the event.<\/p>\n<\/div> —<\/span><\/p>\n As an open innovation network, we are extremely proud for our first and one of a kind undertaking that results from the contributions made during our annual event\u00a0BIN@PORTO 2021<\/a>. Our appreciation also extends to\u00a0Carlos Oliveira<\/strong>\u00a0(FEUP) who made sure that the ideas and topics presented under various pillars make up a holistic and organic ensemble, able to demonstrate the connecting points between the themes covered, reflecting, thus, the interconnectedness of our human existence on this planet.
