The airport serving the city is the International Airport Francisco S\u00e1 Carneiro, located about 11 km (or 7 miles) north of the city centre.<\/p>\n<p>The main Portuguese airline company is TAP Portugal which serves numerous destinations. In addition, there are a growing number of international airlines flying to Porto, among others:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Air Europa<\/li>\n<li>Iberia<\/li>\n<li>Air France<\/li>\n<li>Air Baltic<\/li>\n<li>British Airways;<\/li>\n<li>Brussels Airlines<\/li>\n<li>KLM<\/li>\n<li>Lufthansa<\/li>\n<li>Ryanair<\/li>\n<li>Swiss International Air Lines<\/li>\n<li>Transavia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>ARRIVING IN PORTO (by land)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Road<\/strong><br \/>\nPorto is literally surrounded by motorways, meaning the city enjoys excellent road connections with the entire Portugal. For instance, A 1 links Porto to Lisbon, A 4 provides the connection to Tras-os-Montes, whereas A 3 reaches all the way to Minho. Braga, Aveiro, Viana do Castelo are also connected by motorways to Porto, so, depending on the chosen destination, you must opt for either A 29 or A 28 in order to get to the selected destination. Either by bus or by car (private vehicle or rented car), Porto can be reached from virtually all corners of the country. <a title=\"Estradas de Portugal\" href=\"http:\/\/www.estradasdeportugal.pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Infraestruturas de Portugal<\/a> offers complete information on the motorway and national road networks of Portugal.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Porto is is also connected to various European destinations by bus services. <a href=\"https:\/\/rede-expressos.pt\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rede Nacional de Expressos<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.internorte.pt\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">InterNorte<\/a> and are the main companies. The second has connections to all main European cities, via Paris.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rail<br \/>\n<\/strong>You can reach Porto by train departing from international locations \u2013 in particular Paris \u2013 with connections to the Portuguese train service, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cp.pt\/passageiros\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Comboios de Portugal (CP)<\/a>. Porto has two major train stations: Campanh\u00e3 (international connections, Lisbon as well as the Douro and Minho regions) and S\u00e3o Bento (regional connections, Galicia, Douro and Minho, Aveiro and Coimbra).
